What to expect at your Brooklyn Design Square appointment

At our Pretoria bay, we organise one-on-one trade appointments for interior designers, architects and project managers. You’ll have a quiet hour to handle our felt wall panels, runners, desk mats, trays, partition screens and more, these are full samples as well as swatch cards. It’s a chance to see and feel each texture, compare finishes like Sage Field or Mist Paper under natural and artificial light, and discuss your project’s needs without distraction.

Ms Nomsa Khumalo, our showroom host, is there to guide you through choices and give practical advice on what suits your design and client brief. If you want to check how Sage Field plays against a paint colour or try the grip of an entry mat on tile, you can do that here. There are no over-the-counter sales: we focus on helping you specify the right felt finish and product for your project.

What to bring to your felt review

Your appointment works best if you arrive prepped. The more context you give, the more tailored our advice can be. Please bring details that help us understand your space and what you need the felt to do.

It’s easy to forget a measurement or get the room’s sun direction wrong when you’re busy, so jot down a quick checklist before you come.

Felt in Pretoria homes and Highveld businesses

Our felt products suit a wide range of Pretoria interiors: family homes with chilly winter tiles, open-plan offices in need of acoustic panels, medical rooms, schools, clinics and busy cafes wanting soft banquette wraps or entry mats. Many clients here are dealing with dusty Highveld air, cold floors in July or bold sunlight that fades colour near large windows.

We suggest wool felt for banquette wraps and window seats where you want a natural, resilient surface that buffers humidity. For acoustic panels and partition screens, polyester felt is a tough option that handles the dry air and shrugs off moths. Rotate or shift felt items in sunny spaces to help prevent uneven fading over time.
