Felt studio brings together practical skills and a love of interiors. We hire for hands-on and showroom roles in Cape Town, Joburg, Durban and Pretoria.
We recruit for several hands-on and client-facing roles as our studio grows. Studio cutters and finishers work with felt textiles, shaping and assembling pieces for interior spaces. Our installers fit wall felt, ceiling clouds, panels and screens at homes and businesses across South Africa, so a valid driver's licence is needed for these roles.
In our showrooms, hosts guide clients through our felt finishes and help them choose the right solution for their project. We also look for a writer now and then to craft clear lookbook notes and care guides for our textiles.
Accuracy is essential in our work, from cutting straight lines on felt to measuring for site installations. We look for people who take care with tools and materials, can follow a brief, and keep their workspace tidy.
Patience and communication matter, especially when guiding clients or helping them picture how felt will work in their space. Good written English is important for writing roles, and installers may need to explain products or answer questions on site. We work with a mix of homeowners, designers, architects and business owners, so confidence with people is a plus.
