Compare Sage Field, Mist Paper, Soft Leaf, and Ink Edge felt in Cape Town’s wet winter light and Joburg’s bright Highveld sun, before choosing finishes for your space.
Sage, mist, soft, and ink under Cape vs Highveld light.
The colour review card is a simple printout that lets you compare our felt finishes, Sage Field, Mist Paper, Soft Leaf, and Ink Edge, under the light conditions found in different parts of South Africa. Whether you’re an interior designer, architect, homeowner or project manager, it helps you see how our colours shift in Cape Town’s overcast winters or Joburg’s strong Highveld sun.
Our team see lots of projects where the felt colour looks perfect at the studio but changes next to a big sunny window, under LEDs, or on a rainy Cape morning. Using this card before making a final order means you can avoid surprises once your felt is installed.
Each card features printed swatches of our main felt colourways alongside space for your notes. You’ll find Sage Field, Mist Paper, Soft Leaf and Ink Edge in separate columns, each labelled for quick reference. Next to each colour, there’s a box to tick or write a comment after checking the felt under different lights.
To use the card properly, cut out the swatches or place the sheet next to your paint or fabric samples in your actual room. Note how each colour looks on a bright morning, late afternoon, and after sunset, sometimes you’ll spot a cast or reflection you didnt notice at first.
Before ordering, use the card to check that your chosen finish works with your space’s light, wall colour and other fabrics. If the colour looks off or much lighter or darker than you thought, send us a message through our contact form to request fresh samples or a printed card. We’ll help you find the right match.
After your felt is fitted, keep the card on file for later touch-ups or if you ever need to match a new piece. If you notice a mark, fading or a mismatch between panels, check it against your card and let us know if something is off. Colour can shift slightly with time or strong sunlight, so rotate or move pieces now and then to keep the finish even.
