Lookbook desk

Lerato Dlamini crafts our room and care notes for the lookbook desk, blending practical felt advice with real-world interiors, from home offices to hotels.

A closer look at Lerato’s process

Lerato Dlamini, our spaces editor based in Johannesburg, is the person behind the guidance notes you see in our lookbook desk. She visits real workspaces, homes, and gathering spots, taking the time to see how our felt products behave in all kinds of settings.

Her approach is hands-on. She checks in with our installation team, gathers feedback from clients who have lived with their felt, and always reviews the latest textile samples at our Woodstock studio. Each note Lerato writes aims to answer the practical questions clients ask most, so its always grounded in everyday South African use.

How care notes are developed

Care instructions for our felt products come directly from what works on the ground. Lerato tests spot cleaning, drying, and regular maintenance methods, always using local products you’ll find at home or at a small office.

She pays attention to seasonal shifts, like dust on the Highveld or humidity in Durban, and adapts guidance so it suits your region. Our care notes explain why wool felt needs brushing or why polyester felt shrugs off humidity, making it easy to keep your space looking and feeling its best.
