Ceiling cloud felt brings soft acoustic control and gentle colour to hospitality spaces. Our felt ceiling clouds are designed and made in Woodstock, Cape Town.
Ceiling cloud felt installations are becoming a familiar sight in South African hotels, cafes and restaurants. The suspended felt surfaces help to quiet lively spaces by softening echoes and lowering general noise levels, making conversations more comfortable for guests.
We offer practical, elegant options for venues both large and small. Our felt clouds can be shaped and finished to suit your interior, whether you want a feature in the dining room or a subtle acoustic upgrade in a private lounge.
Each ceiling cloud is made to order in your choice of our house colourways, including Sage Field, Mist Paper and Ink Edge. The suspended rail system allows for linear or clustered layouts, so you can follow the shape of your space or highlight a specific area.
Ceiling clouds are typically installed overhead, clear of light fittings and sprinklers. Our installation team, led by Mr Pieter Nel, works across South Africa. We can advise on placement to get the best acoustic effect for your floor plan.
Felt is a non-woven textile, so it does not fray and holds its form well over time. To keep ceiling clouds looking fresh, dust them lightly with a soft brush or vacuum with a clean upholstery head. For stains, spot clean with a cool damp cloth and mild soap, then dry flat if removed.
Wool felt helps buffer humidity in venues with changing crowds but needs proper airflow to stay fresh, especially in regions like Durban and Cape Town. Polyester acoustic felt is a good choice for humid or busy kitchens and can be cleaned with a mild upholstery shampoo.
