Finish
Sage Field is our signature soft sage green, developed as an accent for wall felt and booth piping. Its calm, balanced tone brings a natural touch to interiors.
Our primary accent sage for wall fields and booth piping.
Sage Field is a muted, soft green inspired by Karoo sage and fynbos. In natural daylight it shows a gentle grey-green, calm and powdery, never harsh or bold. Under warm indoor lighting, the felt can appear slightly warmer or earthier, picking up subtle yellow undertones without losing its restful look.
The fibre texture of felt gives Sage Field a gentle depth, with a soft matte finish that prevents glare. On dense merino felt, the colour appears slightly richer and more blended, while on needle felt or polyester acoustic felt, you may notice a finer, even surface. The felt's natural texture catches the light differently through the day, adding a sense of movement without overwhelming the space.
Sage Field works beautifully on large wall areas, acoustic panels, and partition screens, where it adds a fresh but understated accent to offices, clinics, and homes. It is a popular piping choice for booth wraps and window seat cushions, offering a subtle colour lift that teams well with stone, pale timber, or neutral floors.
In communal settings like cafés and school halls, Sage Field keeps things welcoming and light without showing dust or scuffs too easily. It can balance warmer colours such as Sand Quiet or Mist Paper, or stand as a solo field against pale paint and natural light. In bedrooms or reception areas, it brings a calm, cool energy, making it easy to live with over time.
Always check a felt swatch in the actual room and lighting where you plan to use it. Felt texture and colour will shift depending on sunlight, artificial light, and surrounding finishes. Every dye lot can differ slightly, so order enough felt for your project in one go.
South African sun is harsh, especially by north-facing windows. Like all dyed textiles, Sage Field may fade if left in direct sunlight for years. Move and rotate loose mats or panels every few months, and consider UV blinds or film to protect fixed installations.
